[There's a box on the doorstep. A box wrapped in bright red foil, a silky silver ribbon tied around it with a bow on top. Inside the box is a wool jacket. On top of the jacket is a simple piece of white cardstock paper with elegant cursive words penned in red ink (notice a pattern?), as if written with a quill or a fountain pen.
Happy holidays.
Who could have sent it? Well, all that red looks a lot like the red a certain someone likes to wear, right?]
[after leaving the rave, Osomatsu and Franciscus make their way back to the Cuckoo Hills Gated Community, arm-in-arm. Osomatsu is not paying too close attention to anyone else on the street. he ignores the fog, and he still seems to be skating expertly. every now and then, his eyes will flick up to Franciscus for a moment before he focuses on the road again.
he's nervous, and excited. he can't wait for them to get in and to just... be together. his grip tightens with each minute, his thoughts already running wild. finally, they arrive at the gate, and Osomatsu gulps as Franciscus opens it]
[Franciscus just needs to wave to get them buzzed in, but he fumbles a bit as he tries to pull out the key for his door. Finally, he gets it open, gesturing for Osomatsu to come in as he leans against a wall to remove his skates.]
Oh, we certainly did. Now I believe you mentioned my bed being larger?
[Osomatsu flops down on the couch first, so that he can get rid of his own skates. haa, that's better. he wiggles his toes briefly, and then the candy inside him pulses again at Franciscus' suggestion.
he looks over at him, grinning]
Pretty sure I did.
[he stands up, removing the goggles from his head so that his bangs fall back into their normal position. once he's set his shoes and skates out of the way, he reaches for Franciscus' hand again]
[Franciscus takes Osomatsu's hand with a grin, lifting it to his lips to kiss it for a moment before leading him towards the bedroom. Hydrangea and Gerard are there, napping on the bed, but they both wake up as the duo enters. Franciscus glances over at them.]
Ah...right. Do you two mind taking the living room, for tonight?
[It seems that they realize what he means, since it doesn't take too long for Gerard to hop out the door with Hydrangea on his back, though he does pause to nuzzle and chirp happily at Osomatsu's side. Once that's done, Franciscus nudges the door closed, his grin growing wider as he tugs Osomatsu towards the bed.]
[aww, Gerard! that's a better reaction than Osomatsu could hope for! it's like the Pokémon approve of their union. Osomatsu watches them fondly, then turns and beams at Franciscus with the same expression. he's really happy.
when they are near the bed, Osomatsu is back at Franciscus' side, nosing at his neck before pressing soft kisses to it. he's more eager than nervous at this point, and he seems to be doing fine despite the fact that he's never made out with anyone before tonight. well, he was also skating like an expert just 45 minutes ago, wasn't he?]
[Franciscus murmurs happily at the neck kisses, pulling Osomatsu close, fingers carding through his hair, and sitting down on the bed to give him easier access to the rest of his face as well. His other hand slips under Osomatsu's shirt again, this time trying deliberately to push it up.]
Mmmm-I think we're both overdressed for this occasion.
Osomatsu's eyes flicker open. his body is so stiff. he feels like he ran a marathon yesterday. yesterday... last night...
his eyes go wide, and he remembers. he remembers everything, the rave, going home with Franciscus. he remembers sleeping with him. he rubs his face, pressing his hands to his eyes as he rolls onto his back.
or maybe not his back. his tailbone is sore.
he rolls over on his other side to look for Franciscus. they should... probably talk...]
[Well, the bed is currently empty, though Osomatsu might find a blanket draped over his body. And it's Franciscus' house, so he probably can't have gone far.
As a matter of fact, Franciscus is currently in the kitchen, dressed in a bathrobe and brewing some tea while mentally going over everything that happened last night. They talked about taking things slow, and then...it's not like he didn't want to do that. But he wanted to try and take longer, before actually going that far.]
[at first, Osomatsu looks upset that Franciscus is not around. did he... leave? no, wait. this is his place! he's probably around. actually, Osomatsu smells the tea, and he slowly pushes himself up. he searches for his pants, pulling those on and keeping the smaller blanket wrapped around his shoulders.
he wanders out into the hallway, rubbing his eyes as he gets to the kitchen]
[Franciscus blinks at seeing Osomatsu awake, managing a smile.] Ah, good morning. I'm sorry, the tea isn't quite ready yet. Though that means there's probably time for you to shower first. [They ended up falling asleep without getting cleaned up last night, after all.]
[oh. a shower... sounds like a good idea. Osomatsu isn't quite that awake yet, though. he pushes his hair out of his face, the back sticking up. he has awful bedhead]
Okay.
[but he lingers, wondering if he should say something. he wants to say something, but he doesn't know what]
[Ah. They do need to talk about that, don't they? Franciscus' expression gets more solemn again.]
Right...I think it must have been the effects of the candy, now that I look back on it. I certainly felt my inhibitions...greatly lowered, then. [He sighs.] I apologize. I know we talked about taking things slow at first...
Franciscus, I may have a problem only you can assist me with.
Is it a normal behavior for these "Pokemon" you mentioned to be only able to speak fragments of their name when they speak at all, and to come with small red and white balls of strange construction?
[Someone... had gotten a gift and in the hassle lately forgotten that she'd asked for it. It was very cute in a regal, odd sort of way, but she wasn't sure how to deal with this.]
Ah, both of those are indeed common. Many Pokemon were named after the sounds they make, after all. I suppose you haven't seen much of Gerard and Hydrangea's Pokeballs, since I do prefer letting them roam free when possible. But at times it has been necessary to recall them.
[Have a picture. It was apparently letting out a bark of some sort when she took it. Yep, that was definitely an Absol. It wasn't a particularly unique one, just a regular representative of the breed.]
Yes, it did. There was food for it inside of the basket, sealed and preserved. More than enough for quite a long time. I am not sure how to speak to it, though
Most Pokemon should understand human speech well enough, especially trained ones. And it doesn't seem like a newly wild-caught individual, so it should at least understand that you have good intentions.
I've noticed, though they haven't been too much trouble so far. As for weaknesses, you're right about that. Though it's possible that Sharona is sensing some other sort of disaster coming?
I did see a coffin trying to swallow a girl up with bandages, so not entirely innocent, and a few of those balloons were trying to grab children. Not sure why...
But you're likely right. She probably senses October's approach. We both know how that month can be.
Say, tell me. Litwick, the little candle? Is there anything special about it I should know?
Ah, Drifloon, I presume? I suppose even here Pokemon may be just the slightest bit more malicious...there are rumors of them doing so, but I've personally never encountered such an incident.
As for Litwick, they feed on life energy. Generally it's only enough to make someone feel sluggish, but with how this place is, I wouldn't risk staying too close to one if you start feeling tired.
Well, they are specters of some sort. I suppose some can't be pleasant spooks. It's a little odd that the balloon one is the dangerous one...
Ah. That would explain a couple things. I'll make a few wards. Should remedy any sluggishness I've been feeling. It seems willing to play along at the very least. I appreciate the warning.
delivery on the 23rd
Happy holidays.

4/11 A package.
If you wear this on all of your nails, they will become temporarily sharp as knives. Use it wisely.

I seem to have acquired an Absol. It is currently looking at me rather curiously in my living room. I recall you mentioning it in the past.

A great many of them.
Sharona is freaking out a little bit, and they seem to be very nervous around her, but if I remember right... Ghost is weak to Dark energies, yes?
